Wet N Wild Coverall Cream Foundation Review & Swatches

This is a new foundation from Wet n Wild that I picked up for $3.99 (which I got for a dollar less with a coupon!) at Fred Meyer. I got it in the lightest shade (fair)… because I am pale, and because I have another foundation that is too dark for me. (The goal was to mix them to get the perfect shade.)P1030880




This foundation does not necessarily “cover all”, but it does a decent job if you build it up. As you’ll see in my photos below. I would call it light to medium coverage.

I am unsure about how I feel about this foundation. It looks/feels kind of  heavy and cakey on my skin. I am really not a big fan of being able to see the layers of foundation I have applied.  I will have to experiment a little more with mixing this with other foundations, and with my moisturizer to make a final decision. I think it’ll work well as a tinted moisturizer (that is what I usually go for… well, that and some concealer, obviously).  I am a big fan of the price, though… so…. well, that’s my loosey-goosey opinion of this product.

If I look tired, it’s because I am. This was the end of a 12 hour road trip from Seattle to Bozeman… and I was wiped! I gave this foundation a good test with a long day on the road, sleeping on and off… you know the drill.

Looks like the foundation didn’t last all day. The staying power isn’t the best… so don’t wear it if you have a long day ahead of you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about it. Also, I didn’t set this with a powder or wear primer underneath, so I bet if you add those to the mix, this would hold up much longer.
